At the end of this week we will have the first weekend of Interleague Play. Fortunately for fantasy players there are not a lot of players who will lose at bats for three days but David Ortiz, BOS and Kendrys Morales, LAA are the two most important. There are only six NL teams gaining extra at bats and we don’t know how managers will spread those around but Chris Heisey, CIN and the first base partners in Pittsburgh, Garrett Jones and Casey McGehee should see more at bats. The full weeks of Interleague Play should be on your planning calendar – Weeks 10 and 11 starting June 11. The weekend prior, June 8-10 is also set of three game Interleague series. For this week AL teams losing their DH spot are Baltimore, Boston, Chicago White Sox, LA Angels, Minnesota, Oakland, Seattle, and Texas. The NL teams gaining at bats for the three days are Arizona, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Miami, NY Mets, and Pittsburgh. |
