The other day, I did indeed participate in the FSTA Experts Draft, and in our blog piece, reader Mickey4081 speculated on what the first round picks would be. Now, it is always fun and interesting, and, for the most part, ADP means nothing. It is selecting the right combination of player parts to be competitive that is important, meaning taking Cody Ross in the 19th round, when he pops 17 homers and knocks in 70 is as significant as taking Albert Pujols first when he provides 40 homers and 115 RBI. Actually, such a Ross contribution would be more important, because we expect Albert to produce, but Cody's numbers and fate are more speculative. Anyway, below are Mickey4081's guesses, and who actually was drafted, when and where. And, of course, if you have an opinion on who belongs in the first round, we would like to hear it. Although if you have insight to the 19th round, I would be as, if not more interested in that! FSTA/Mickey4081 Albert Pujols/Albert Pujols Ryan Braun/Hanley Ramirez Hanley Ramirez/Miguel Cabrera Miguel Cabrera/Troy Tulowitzki Carlos Gonzalez/Joey Votto Evan Longoria/Evan Longoria Carl Crawford/Ryan Braun Troy Tulowitzki/Carl Crawford David Wright/Robinson Cano Robinson Cano/Carlos Gonzalez Joey Votto/Adrian Gonzalez Chase Utley/David Wright Alex Rodriguez/Chase Utley
